ServiceNow at a Polish University for the First Time
We did it! On 14.12.2016 SPOC started cooperation with the Higher School of Banking in Poznan, courtesy of the University authorities and Dr. Tomasz Glowacki. This course is running for students in their third year of studies, focusing on the academic education of students in the area of ITIL and ServiceNow. Forming part of the Information Systems Design Course, our scope is to bring the capabilities and functionality of the ServiceNow platform to students. What is really exciting; is that for probably the first time in Poland, current knowledge concerning the fastest growing ITSM tool in the world, has been included as part of the academic training to students who are in the process of learning about IT Systems within a University.
Besides information about the ServiceNow tool, students also heard about management services including; ITSM, processes in the organization, ITIL and together with descriptions of processes following the BPMN notation. In addition, the group were acquainted with the requirements, analysis and methodology of running projects. During our exercises we will cover the actual implementation of normal change management process (ITIL based) on ServiceNow platform.
The first classes were led by Marcin Tyburski and other lead technical consultants and project managers. SPOC hopes this is the beginning of a long cooperation with the Higher School of Banking and that the scope of cooperation will gradually expand.
